The IU-Greens candidate for the municipality of Murcia Sergio Ramos today lamented the decision of the Community to reject segregation record signed by more than 7,400 residents of El Palmar for more shares of local government.
Ramos has said that the regional government's response shows that the requests of the residents of the districts "are not heard" and that "have fewer services than those living in the center despite paying the same taxes."
It has also called for a rethinking of the governance structure of the districts to facilitate these enjoy greater self-government and participatory forms such as direct election of their representatives.
