National Police agents belonging to the Brigada Provincial de Murcia Judicial Police have arrested a 28-year-old, of Spanish nationality and resident in Murcia, on suspicion of ten robberies with violence and intimidation in establishments of Murcia and Molina de Segura.
The facilities chosen to commit the robberies were mainly pharmacies and gas stations in the city of Murcia and a financial institution in Molina de Segura.
Investigations are conducted from March 18 when several establishments in the city are victims of violent robberies.
In all events, the modus operandi is the same, a young man enters the room, intimidates employees or owners with a firearm, always covered his face with a hood with a scarf or neck, and ask for money register.
The officers began a race against time to locate and arrest the perpetrator and that the mobility of offenders and increased theft requires it.
The investigations are very complex and time consuming as each day increases affected, yet, after many efforts, conducted in all places where the crimes were committed, the investigating agents gather sufficient evidence and identify the author of ten robberies Violence and intimidation in establishments of Murcia and Molina de Segura between 18 March and 5 April, all of them committed by the same person and with such revolver gun blanks, that the same perpetrator days earlier acquired in an armory in the city.
Once identified and located is held in the town of Cartagena on 11 April, which is charged with ten crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, seven of them completed and three attempted.
The detainee is available from the Magistrate's Court Guard acting Cartagena (Murcia) on 13 April.
