Students of the University of Murcia participate in a contest of bridges made with ice cream sticks (12/04/2011)

Chemical Engineering students at the University of Murcia participate this week in the form of national competition weight of bridges made with ice cream sticks, which organized the University Miguel Hernández de Elche.

The two bridges of students compete with thirty Murcia from the universities of Zaragoza, Navarra, Politécnica de Valencia, León, Valencia CEU and the host to determine the structure that holds the most weight.

Engineering students at the University of Murcia have worked more than a month in a structure made of only wood and glue sticks, testing with steel plates 20 and 28 kilos.

The results of the contest will be announced on Thursday.
