San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) held on 6 d course prior to April 1st XVIII National Congress of the Spanish Society of Geriatric and Gerontological Nursing (SEEGG), which developed during the 7th and 8th April in Murcia.
Under the title "Nutritional aspects in the hospital setting we know you really care for our elders? ', Various experts in Gerontology spoke on the nutritional needs of the elderly.
From UCAM noted that the course aimed at medical professionals, nurses and support, focused on issues like the causes and consequences of malnutrition in the health environment, the importance of oral supplementation, or nutritional support in dysphagia .
During the presentation of the Day spoke, the president of the Spanish Society of Geriatric and Gerontological Nursing, Diego Nicolas, who called for teaching in the field of nutrition, to serve our older, the dean of the School of Nursing UCAM, Paloma Echevarría, and the expert of the medical department of the company Fresenius Kabi, Silvia Luque.
