The School of Tourism at the University of Murcia yesterday held its annual gala in which awarded the prizes "Dove of Tourism", which in its XLII fell in the previous edition center's director, Professor Manuela Lopez Tenes, the Star Festival Levante SOS 4.8 and the newspaper La Verdad.

During the ceremony, chaired by the rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, gave a lecture entitled "Future Opportunities for tourism in the Region of Murcia", which spoke of the important sector's role in economic recovery.

The gala, held at the Casino de Murcia, attended by business representatives and politicians in the region, together with officials of the university and other academic authorities.
