The candidate of the United Left-Greens for mayor of Murcia, Esther Herguedas, advocated today by creating a plan for incorporating new technologies to small business.
Herguedas has proposed that this plan include counseling by the municipality to facilitate the process of modernization and adaptation to technological tools such shops.
It further emphasized the need for a quality label for the traditional trade and monitor the implementation of the Trade Act, including compliance with "rigorous" schedules.
In this sense, has called for limiting the opening hours of large supermarkets in order to avoid creating "unfair competition" with respect to small business.
The head of the list of IU-Greens, who has taken these proposals to the Association of Merchants and Businessmen of Murcia, has also rejected the implementation of new department stores in the municipality.
