The Planning Department and the College of Architects of Murcia are launching a contest of ideas to reshape the Avenida de El Palmar, structuring and improve their appearance.
It is a further step in the strategic plan for improving the urban environment and quality of life for residents of the metropolitan area, with performances in the medium and long term.
The design competition has two phases.
In the first interested persons may submit anonymously proposals for improving this Ave, selecting four finalists ideas.
The registration deadline for participation is 30 calendar days from the day following the date of announcement of the competition in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia.
Registration will take place exclusively through the website of the contest that will enable the College of Architects of Murcia.
Since the publication of BORM contest until the date of publication of the final list of participants may consult to address questions, always in writing and by e-mail enabled for the contest, published on the website the completed all of them anonymous and clarifications.
The deadline for submission of work is 60 calendar days from the day following the deadline for publishing the final list of registered competitors.
The work will be submitted in one package under the motto, which shall appear on all documents, so they are considered by the jury under strict anonymity.
Be submitted up to 4 panels rigid DIN-A1.
It may include drawings, computer graphics, perspective or any other graphic expression to explain the proposal, as well as photographs of models-models can not be filed.
The jury, composed of prestigious professionals, have three months to issue its ruling, and take into account the formal and conceptual quality of the proposal, resolution functional issues starting and appropriateness of the proposal to the objectives, feasibility technical, economic and social development of the proposal, the proposed integration with the urban structure that is inserted and clear exposition of the proposed solution.
The four finalists will participate in the next stage and get 5,000 euros.
The second stage of the competition of ideas will be the development of the four finalists to choose a winner.
There will be meetings with those selected to give the date for submission of proposals.
Participants will engage in an oral presentation.
The jury will select the winning idea, you'll get the award of contract services for the drafting of the project and its execution, or a cash prize of 20,000 euros, in case you do not opt ​​for this assignment.
The promoter of this competition is the Planning Department.
The Official College of Architects of Murcia will work with Planning to provide advice and logistical support of the competition by providing all means, report through its usual broadcast networks, and welcome entries to the contest through the website to be created purpose.
