In the city of Murcia, from the Department of Social Welfare and Promotion of Equality, Women's Section is carried out comprehensive care to women who suffer abuse, responding to these problems from the fields: legal, social, economic, educational, psychological and housing and care through a multidisciplinary team specialized in this type of intervention (EMAVI), with specific equipment and resources, both local (two foster homes), and regional (Emergency Center).
Over 2010 have been met 341 women, 232 cases of them being new and 109 old cases, which added 1,768 professional interventions through individual interviews.
In addition, most women are treated in the age group between 30 and 39 years of age.
Of the women served, the 34'31% of cases are foreign women from 21 different nationalities.
Of these 117 women were allowed 81, while 36 of them were undocumented.
The vast majority of women have attended primary school, ie a low level of training together with the high number of women with unemployed, makes them more difficulties to resume an independent life and become, at the same time care of their children.

Moreover, it is noteworthy that since the network of women in the municipality is carrying out important work work leading to a large number of women in Murcia.
Thus, it should be stressed that training is one of the sections to which they devote great efforts.
Include the following courses: A policy, reading workshops, nutrition, physical therapy seminars, workshops on prevention of gender violence, and those intended to:
- Area of professional training (instructor of leisure, assistant geriatrics, clinical assistant, English, specialized care to Alzheimer's and care for dependents).
- Area personal and social skills development (education for participation, laughter therapy, personal development and t. communication, memory training).
- Area of New Technologies (introduction to computers and email).
- Area of Gender and feminism (women and publicity).
