Murcia City Council is committed to offering quality education to all citizens and continue to improve schools.

The Councillor for Education and Youth, María Dolores Sánchez, visited schools in the district of Carmen CEIP Los Alamos, Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente, Our Lady of Mount Caramel and CEIP Ciudad de Murcia to see first hand the status and needs of these centers.

In recent years we have invested about 3.5 billion euros in the expansion of facilities, painting, patios improvement, renovations and general repairs.

In addition, the 1,024 students in these schools participate in program activities Meet your City, the Department of Education, with musical and theatrical activities, visit the Center of Light, Valley Regional Park, Garden of Salitre, participation in the workshop of Europe, Firehouse, House of Bread, Children's Traffic Park, etc.

"CEIP Nuestra Señora del Carmen.

Rehabilitation and repair of interior walls, electrical replacement, graffiti removal and functional adequacy of the building (funded by the Ministry of Education).

"CEIP Ciudad de Murcia.

Interior and exterior repairs education and fitness center facade (funded by the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability.)

CEIP-Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente.

Adaptation and improvement of the school, Reform in the area of counseling and management and definition of early childhood education patio (the latter two funded by the Ministry of Education).

"CEIP Los Alamos.

Removing graffiti on the walls, paint, adaptation and improvement (funded by the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability) and construction of a covered pavilion (funded by the Ministry of Education).
