The University of Murcia has been incorporated into several of its centers pioneering systems of detection and automatic fire alarm based on analog technology intelligently.
These systems, multicriteria fire detectors, provide an improvement in terms of information generation and a high specificity towards the kinds of fires that are caused.
Also, the condition of intelligent algorithmic methods redundant minimizes the risk of occurrence of false alarms, which puts the University of Murcia at the head of the Spanish universities with regard to fire safety.
The Center for Child Care, Animal Facilities and faculties of Communication and Information Science and Veterinary already have this system and its implementation is under study at the General Library, Lecture Giner de los Rios, General Classroom Building and the Faculty of Biology.
The objective is the implementation in all the centers of these security systems, which will add to other improvements in fire protection, such as groups against fires, developments in the installation of firefighting equipment BIE's, and an update of self-protection manual available to the university.
