The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, attended this afternoon at the opening of a new roundabout in front of the brewery Estrella de Levante, a company that has donated "to beautify the infrastructure, the first boiler kettle that was used in the factory in 1963.
The opening of the new roundabout is the first step to the conclusion in 2013 of half a century of existence of the factory.
The new boiler was recovered after the recent reforms undertaken in the factory.
Subsequently, the specimen was sent for rehabilitation and now ends the round in all its glory.
The Mayor highlighted the work done by this brand Murcia over half a century of existence and the support and sponsorship has given the sport, culture and society, as well as boosting the image of the region around the world.
The CEO of Estrella de Levante, Patricio Valverde, explained that this donation to the city sought to extend the appreciation of the brewer to all Murcia in the celebration of their anniversary.
In addition, future generations may well know the tools used in the past in the industry.
The roundabout is included in the construction of the new tram and has been placed in the center of the rotunda, surrounded by an artistic composition of recyclable materials such as glass and steel.
