Antonia Hernandez of Santiago and travel to Torremolinos Zaraiche and accompanied by their families, friends and neighbors
The Murcia Antonia Hernandez, 64, is participating this weekend in Spain Grandma Contest 2011, held in Torremolinos.
This neighbor of James and Zaraiche has been chosen as the representative of the Region of Murcia and compete alongside 19 other candidates from different regions of Spain.
The Councillor for Social Welfare Policy and Equality, María del Carmen Pelegrin, met with Antonia Hernandez to wish him luck and say goodbye.
Along with the mayor has been the president of the Federation of Senior Citizens Centres in the municipality, Simon Parraga, and the presidents of the Municipal Councils of Santiago and Zaraiche, the strut and Zarandona.
The Murcia will go to Torremolinos accompanied by relatives, neighbors and friends.
The event will be held from tomorrow, Thursday, February 24, through Saturday.
Participants must parade in costume and evening gown.
The jury assessed his physical appearance, elegance, dynamism and sympathy.
Antonia Hernandez has four children and six grandchildren.
