San Antonio Catholic University has inaugurated this afternoon the X International Conference on Charities and Volunteers.
The symposium organized by the International Institute of Charity and Volunteer Juan Pablo II (IICV) of the UCAM, with the slogan 'Europe, Youth and Solidarity "will be held from February 22 to 28.
In the opening ceremony have spoken the Bishop of Cartagena, Bishop José Manuel Lorca Planes, president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration CARM, Fernando Mateo, and Vice Chancellor for University Extension and director of IICV John Paul II, Antonio Alcaraz.
Among the personalities of the ecclesiastical, political and social partner committed to charitable work to participate in the symposium include the Orthodox Metropolitan Archbishop of Spain and Portugal, Bishop Polycarp Stavropoulos, the Vicar General for Spain and Portugal of the Orthodox Patriarchate of Serbia, Joan Garcia Casanovas, the bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Bishop José Manuel Lorca Planes, emeritus Archbishop of Seville, Cardinal Carlos Amigo or the Abbot of the Abbey of Santa Cruz Valley of the Fallen, and the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Immigration of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, Joaquín Bascuñana.
Should also mention that tomorrow Wednesday, February 23 at 12:00 hours, will take place in the Paseo Alfonso X the Wise, the opening of the X International Fair Volunteer, framed in debate, and with the participation of various agencies and associations and the Government of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, through the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration and the Directorate General of Immigration, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, the Pontifical Council Cor Unum, the Spanish Association Cancer, Astrapace, Caritas, Manos Unidas, Spanish Red Cross, the Family Forum, Jesus Dropped the Little Sisters of the Poor, the Oblate Sisters and Radio Maria.
