The socialist mayor Sebastian Peñaranda defend a motion in plenary on Thursday demanding that the municipal PP to design and implement urgently a plan for Social Economy Development for the municipality, in collaboration with business associations representing the sector, which understand objectives aimed at creating new businesses, employment, self employment, entrepreneurship and local wealth.
Peñaranda suggest that the Plan provides for a series of actions, among which a census of cooperatives in the municipality, the revitalization of local agreements with business associations in the social economy, additional aid to new businesses, financial intermediation, and micro-credit guarantees search development agency and observatory of the social economy.
"If we leave as soon as possible to this crisis, if we stop the bleeding of job losses, at present, is around 55,000 unemployed, we should opt for an entrepreneurial culture and entrepreneurship," said Councilman PSOE.
In this sense, Peña reiterated that "to avoid this unfortunate situation is strictly necessary to implement a defined strategy and planning for the future to develop new activities and encourage new sources of employment."
