Forty-three students are formed while working in the construction of Local Police Headquarters in La Alberca (17/02/2011)

Forty-three new students are formed and work in the Workshop School Project 'Police Headquarters La Alberca.

Phase II ', which began on 22 December.

Students receive training for employment in different disciplines at the same time moving from theory to practice working in the construction of Local Police Headquarters in La Alberca.

The objective of this project is the integration of unemployed people between 16 and 24 years, through his skill in alternation with work.

Councilmember Employment, Civil Protection and Development Cooperation, Beatriz Hontoria, this morning visited the classes of the Workshop School, located in La Fica.

Student-workers are trained in the specialties of General Contractors, Finishes construction, carpentry and joinery, metalwork and forging, plumbing, heating and solar thermal energy, electricity and renewable energy, and gardening and the environment.

Also offer basic training courses, computer literacy, prevention of occupational hazards and other modules such as environmental awareness, gender equality, improving job search and social and self-employment and economics, among others.

Total of 43 students, 35 males and 8 females.

37 are Spanish and other immigrants, Morocco, Colombia, Ecuador, Senegal and Ukraine.

The local police station of La Alberca has an area of 2,473 square meters, distributed in the basement, ground floor and three floors.

Structure is already completed and is working on the installation of services.

The building is accessible for people with reduced mobility and has systems to save water and energy.

This initiative involves a first stage of initiation character and one stage of training alternating with work and practice.

The first stage has a duration of 6 months during which students receive a scholarship from 9 € / day and the rest of the 3 phases of 6 months, students will be hired by the city of Murcia, in the form of Contract for contract Training and receive 75% of the minimum wage.

This project is funded by the city of Murcia and region (with the European Social Fund and Ministry of Labour).
