The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, today visited the development works and provision of services for the construction of 247 new subsidized housing, that are taking place in Murcia hamlet of Los Dolores, in the Regional Plan Housing.
José Ballesta explained that "this project will allow a total of 247 families access to housing Murcia at a price protected and also have the aid contained in the Regional Housing Plan, which gives priority to young people, large families, parent families with children, dependent or disabled people and their families. "
In this regard, he added that "it is an action that is part of the agreements of the Regional Housing Plan, carried out by means of public-private partnership, and will develop a plot of over 22,000 square meters, with a investment of 1.7 billion euros. "
The development project will proceed in two phases: the first one will involve the completion of the works of 167 OPV in early 2013, while the second, which includes construction of 80 homes, is not due to run until December 2014.
Green areas and ecological facilities
In addition to building the first phase of housing, the actions carried out in the plot, described as "priority development area of land for the construction of social housing ', is the construction of the sewerage network, water supply, electricity, gas and telephone and installation of underground containers that facilitate the collection and recycling, promoting a sustainable environment for residents in the area.
Likewise, the works, supervised by the regional government based on the agreement signed with the Ministry of Development and the city of Murcia, including the planting of green areas of reduced water consumption and lighting of public spaces.
