The Mayor highlighted the legacy for film history has meant his work in film 'Apocalypse Now', 'Red' and 'The Last Emperor'
The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, received this afternoon the director of photography, Vittorio Storaro, who won three Oscars and who visits these days Murcia to give a lecture at the Centro Municipal Puertas de Castilla.
Storaro also receive an honorary award at the Closing Ceremony of Ibn Arabi Film Festival (IBAFF 2011) and share a paella with neighbors of San Basilio.
Mayor House has highlighted the splendid work done by Storaro and sensitivity to awaken in the viewer different feelings and emotions depending on the colors chosen, and the legacy of his work for the History of Cinema.
The first successful U.S. film director master Storaro was 'Apocalypse Now', directed by Francis Ford Coppola in 1979, for which he won his first Oscar and, later, the film 'Reds' by Warren Beatty (1981) and The Last Emperor "by Bernardo Bertolucci (1987), earned him the other two Oscar of his career.
He received his fourth and final Oscar nomination for his work in the movie 'Dick Tracy' (1990), also of Warren Beatty.
Tomorrow, Storaro share a paella in the Pergola of the Barrio de San Basilio with neighbors.
A meal will also assist the jury and the organization of the festival.
That night, at 20.00 celebrates the festival's closing ceremony in which the Honorary Award will be given Ibn Arabi Vittorio Storaro.
Screen Award Hall Isaki Lacuesta and winners will be announced in the official and young IBAFF Award.
