The Pecha Kucha Nights, the brainchild of Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (Klein Dytham architecture), began to be held in Tokyo in 2003 and today has expanded to over 373 cities worldwide, including New York, London, Berlin , Moscow, Vancouver or Rotterdam.
In Spain is officially in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Las Palmas, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao, Malaga and Murcia now.
Pecha Kucha Night arrives on the scene as a new interdisciplinary meeting, where areas such as architecture, sociology, graphic design and fashion, music, photography, industrial design, film, multimedia design, advertising, anthropology , medicine or environmental chemistry with an area of [inter] action.
Pecha Kucha Night has a fast format of ideas, projects, designs: 20 images x 20 seconds = 6 minutes + 40 seconds.
In each session, between 12 and 15 rapporteurs show their projects through 20 slides, with the peculiarity that only have 20 seconds to explain each one of them.
The participants are professionals, students, teachers and business people from different disciplines.
In this first volume of Pecha Kucha Night in the city of Murcia will have the opportunity to have speakers of various kinds, coming from architecture, photography, art, fashion, advertising and gastronomy.
Some of the participants that premiere issue are the singer Alondra Bentley, the new director of the Canned Pablo del Val, the architect Javier Peña XPIRAL director, the young advertisers Tresseiscero, chef Pablo González-Conejero, photographer David Frutos, the Designer Peter and the Wolf, the young architects Architects Mold, head publicist Germinal Jorge Martinez and architect Martin Lejarraga.
In this volume figure has been introduced as a moderator of speakers that seráel architect and professor Enrique Nieto.
