The CEIP Vicente Medina and student of the School of Art and Design, David Belando Fernández, received today at the hands of the Councillor for Education and Youth, María Dolores Sánchez, awards for designing the mascot and put Murcia tram name.
The mascot is called Tranvieso.
The design of the mascot is the work of a student at the School of Art and Design, David Belando Fernandez, who was the winner among more than 300 works by young students of Compulsory Secondary Education, Training and the School of Art and College of design.
Belando obtained as a reward card for purchases in the FNAC worth 1,000 euros.
The name of the mascot has been proposed by students of the CEIP Vicente Medina, and has been awarded from 45 proposals, 15 primary schools in the municipality.
The winning school received 600 euros for buying books.
The event was organized by the Department of Education and Youth of the Municipality of Murcia, who heads María Dolores Sánchez, and Murcia tram.
The jury was chaired by Councilmember and trained by the manager of Trolley Murcia, Severiano Arias, the designer Julio Garcia Abril and the Head of Youth Service Program, Juan Albaladejo.
The jury took into account the characteristics of this transport, sustainability, accessibility and speed, to choose the design and name winners.
Tranvieso appear on all trams running on the municipality as well as information and everything having to do with this transport.
