The research group Intelligent Systems and Telematics, Faculty of Informatics, University of Murcia develop a system capable of internally managing emergencies in nursing homes.
The project that researchers at the University of Murcia, coordinated by Professor Juan Antonio Botia, automatically alerting the emergency services in situations where you need their assistance, but also to the families of the elderly or staff.
Juan Antonio Botia explained that "persons residing in nursing homes with memory problems may be lost and this system, ambient intelligence, is launching an emergency process to try to locate the person through coordinated management of the ads, and manage other emergencies, such as a fire. "
In the project, with the collaboration of 15 researchers and funded by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, involving the University of Madrid, the geriatric Calasparra Villa Sofia, and companies Gesfor, DCI and AMI2.
