The University of Murcia has organized for Monday, June 17, the School of Computing, a course free of charge on the importance of keeping tires and shock absorbers to prevent traffic accidents.
The training course, which is aimed at professionals in the automotive industry and others interested in the subject will be taught by the International Consortium of Rubber Products and Sernauto, encompassing the manufacturers of tires and shock absorbers, respectively.
This activity arises from the study, prepared by the areas of Mechanical Engineering and Machinery and Engines of Murcia University, discussed the importance of maintaining the tires of vehicles and major failures that often occur in these elements.
Of that report that lack of maintenance of these basic parts on road safety in the period 2004-2008 caused more than 1000 accident victims and is, in turn, responsible for nearly half of the serious defects found in Technical Inspections of Vehicles (ITV) in the Region of Murcia.
In addition, the study concludes, 60% of vehicles in poor condition involved in traffic accidents during that period of defects in its tires.
