A doctoral thesis presented at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Murcia, which analyzes a population of Colombian immigrants in Spain, has concluded that his health has not been deteriorated during their stay in our country and the level of violence between its members often presents a "high".
To carry out this research, the author, Sandra Milena Colorado, surveyed five hundred Colombians over fifteen years, the population living in Elda, Alicante.
The thesis highlights the "high precariousness" of these immigrants and alcohol consumption, unemployment and discrimination are associated with physical and psychological violence.
As for the violence, the study shows that cases of dating violence "is occurring with similar frequency in both men and women."
The thesis, which has obtained excellent cum laude, was led by Professor Alberto Manuel Torres Cantero.
