The doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Murcia on the creative personality of the actor and director Fernando Fernan Gomez emphasized the "consistency" that highlights his work.
The author of this research, Jesus de la Peña Sevilla, analyzed for the fulfillment of the Fernan Gomez's filmography as director, consists of twenty-six films, and concludes that "created his own universe."
"His films, he adds, is a cycle professionally and personally, throughout which has been established codes of cinematic style in which the author's presence is obvious."
The thesis also points out that "his work is a coherent and consolidated body that makes him one of the most extraordinary directors of the era he lived."
This research, which has obtained excellent cum laude, was led by Professor Pedro Ortuño Mengual.
