Agents of the Police Headquarters of Murcia, belonging to the Commissariat de Molina de Segura, have carried out an operation against a plot devoted to the removal, handling and sale of high-end vehicles, which has led to the arrest of primarily responsible for the criminal group and the dismantling of a clandestine workshop dedicated to the handling of stolen vehicles.
The investigations began after reviewing the circumstances of the theft of several vehicles, which took place in different parts of the Region of Murcia in recent months.
Once detected a pattern of behavior and a similar modus operandi, were carried out numerous actions that identified the person responsible for the plot, a son of Ukrainian nationality that had a qualified place of concealment and handling of stolen vehicles.
After verifying the facts, the last on December 17, proceeded to the arrest of this subject and the recording of that workshop, where they found three vehicles that had been stolen recently and identifying elements of which were in various stages of handling .
In two of them had been altered VINs and had been fitted with false registration plates.
In the same record is speaking a lot of original car keys and car keys hand-crafted, well fake number plates, vehicle documentation counterfeit Ukraine, a stamping machine frame numbers, frequency inhibitors, scavengers frequency transponders, computer equipment and various tools for handling vehicles and their security mechanisms.
In recent days, following the analysis of the effects and the documents seized in the record has been unable to solve the theft of at least fifteen other luxury cars stolen in the region in recent months, in which recovery is working with Ukrainian law enforcement authorities through Interpol.
The detainee was brought before the Court of Instruction Number Four of Molina de Segura, whose owner ordered his imprisonment.
