The "community police" has closed its first eight months from the creation of this service in April last year with a balance that reveals the importance and relevance of this initiative undertaken by the Department of Safety and Circulation.
Thus, in the eight months of community police has contacted a total of 4,866 condominiums, making a total of 8,155 visits (6,595 in 1,560 in neighborhoods and districts).
The 136 police officers attached to this service have delivered 46,000 leaflets and 28,000 information cards.
In the first contact with the various neighboring communities, and collect data from each of them raised a total of 188 claims by presidents of the communities.
So, demand more at stake is the noise nuisance (with a total of 31, of which eight have been by local noise and 23 noise of neighbors), improper parking (23 complaints) and botelleo (twenty claims).
Have also been collected by insecurity demands (16), pets (fourteen) and street cleaning (dog droppings, garbage accumulation, abandoned vehicles ...).
Of these 188 claims, 175 have completed positively and thirteen are pending.
In addition, the Community Police Service has received a total of 1,800 phone calls requesting information on issues affecting the neighborhood, and requiring agents in 169 chances for personal contact with them.
In visits to communities of property owners, residents have shown cooperation to service and appreciation for the implementation of this campaign.
Remember that the service 'Community Police' has two clear objectives:
1 - Provide a police service approach to the local community in which they provide the police service area of Murcia and parishes, receiving information, incidents, problems and giving them the appropriate treatment, which will be timely informed citizens.
2 - Provide mediation, conciliation and resolution of problems that community policing: problem solving in conflict situations and their prevention or referral to other appropriate administrative bodies.
Thus, each neighboring community will be assigned a local police will be responsible for your suggestions, complaints or incidents that may occur, referred to the appropriate administrative body or mediating on issues that community police.
