A doctoral thesis at the University of Murcia attempts to create an interactive atlas on the dangers of the wadi (03/01/2011)

The doctoral thesis presented at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Murcia by Rafael García Lorenzo has proposed the creation of an interactive atlas on the dangers of flood waters from ramblas at junctions with roads.

This research, which has obtained excellent cum laude, also suggests the need for accurate data and their systematic integration so that they can be referred to when defining strategies and establish civil defense plans.

The thesis also contains a hydraulic modeling and application of empirical models to estimate the erosion of the wadi bed and bedload.

The research was led by Professor of the University of Murcia Carmelo Conesa.
