The two workshops for children organized by the Museum of the City have been successful.
The first of these, which was held this week and ended today, was attended by about twenty-five people a day, and completely covering the fifteen places offered children plus accompanying adults.
This workshop, called "Sweet Christmas at the Museum ', has been the development of some sweet rescued from old cookbooks.
The children, aged between 6 and 12 years, have prepared their own candy with their parents or grandparents and discovered the origin and evolution of each recipe.
Thus, Natividad Aznar's hand, kids these days have developed mantecados, polvorones, rolls, cordials, almond, walnut cakes, nougat, gingerbread, and, at its meeting held today, Easter cakes, recao, moratalleras and toñas.
Next week (Tuesday and Wednesday) the City Museum will host another workshop, called "We decorate the Christmas', for which all seats are already reserved.
This educational activity is intended for children to develop their creativity, with the completion and decoration of some ornaments and also know our history and legends, traditions, stories and customs of Murcia.
Upon completion, participants will delve into some aspects of our city in a dynamic, participatory and fun.
