The Local Youth Council of Murcia and the Meeting Point Association, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Youth of the Municipality of Murcia, who heads María Dolores Sánchez, intends to collect about 4,000 kilos of toys will be distributed among children disadvantaged.
The initiative began last December in the playroom Yabadabadu Bacons Bridge.
Following the awareness campaign by distributing posters and leaflets the team has collected from the various participating schools and associations throughout the material for your setup.
Delivery of toys to the children will end next January 5th.
Young Space 585m2 has become throughout the month of December at the place where volunteers lay toys for repair and cleaning.
Hard work to be completed on 5 January with the distribution of toys and end of season party to be held in the Youth Space.
María Dolores Sánchez has joined today the chairman of the Local Youth Council, Frank Sanchez, and members of the Association Meeting Point to see firsthand the work done.
Thanks to the volunteers and people offering toys that they no longer enjoy their children, many children will have toys this Christmas.
The campaign is based on the pedagogical principles of cooperation, integration and respect for other cultures, as well as non-sexist education and awareness of the environment through recycling and reutiliación.
Those interested to get some toys have to go to space 585m2 Young Municipal Center, located in Plaza Toledo (Murcia).
