The Department of the Presidency will continue to generate soil to provide more and better services to Murcia
The Department of the Presidency, led by Francisco Porto, will continue in 2011 as its main objective the generation of municipal land for the improvement and expansion of services offered to Murcia.
Thanks to the transfer and availability of land will expand and create educational centers, medical clinics, health centers and other infrastructure to provide better service to citizens.
Thus, in 2010 have been transferred and made available to the Bishopric of municipal plots Cartagena, Sports Council and the Ministry of Education to expand and build schools, among others.
Another six vehicles were donated for medical transport and patients in Togo and Haiti.
The Department of the Presidency has also planned for next year's incorporation into the municipal fleet of five hybrid vehicles that consume about 3.9 liters per 100 kilometers, producing only 89 grams of CO2 per kilometer, eight-electric vehicles (which no longer released into the atmosphere 1069.6 grams of CO2 into the atmosphere per mile) for the movement of various municipal services and the Municipal Corporation.
On the other hand, in an area of General Services, will continue performing maintenance work necessary for the proper functioning and better conditions of municipal facilities, thus achieving optimum performance of the services to meet the demands of Murcia.
Thus, in 2010 have been carried out 656 repairs in plumbing, masonry and locksmith 880, 590 in telephony, and 950 in vehicle repairs and revisions Mobile Park Pre-ITV.
As regards liability records, during the years have brought a total of 406m, of which 303 were rejected, 36 have been estimated and have been implemented in 44 sentences.
Finally, and from the Procurement Service, during 2010 have been awarded a total of 468 contracts valued at 122,460,995 euros, which must be added that are still pending, amounting to 112, worth 1,098,826,848 euros.
