The Department of Social Welfare Policy and Equality, through the Program Council, and attending to its primary purpose of reconciling work and family, the school organizes Christmas, extending operating hours and the age range of children and girls participating.
This will contribute to the professional development of fathers and mothers while also promoting equal opportunities between men and women.
To meet this need and serve children of school age during the holidays, the Center for Work-Life Balance Work and Family of Juan Carlos I proposed a program of socio-educational activities, formal and non-marking playful.
So, this Christmas School will be held between 23 December and 5 January; ten school days in total.
Two shifts have been established: the morning, from 8 to 14 hours and afternoon, 16 to 20 hours.
The eligibility requirements for this activity are being registered in the municipality of Murcia while the parent / guardian must be working and / or conducting training and retraining.
It makes a reservation fee prior to children attending steadily to the center during the school period, both the Program Council as the Toy Library Service.
Another forty seats are reserved for children arising from Social Services City of Murcia and there is a reserve four places for children with disabilities, provided they do not require specialized care and disability is consistent with the center's activities and attention here we can give to children.

Participants must pay care fees indicated:
MORNINGS: 50 €
EVENINGS: 40 €
MORNING AND AFTERNOON: 70 €
For families with more than one child at Christmas School provides a discount on fees to be paid, from the second brother and successive pay 75% of the amount initially fixed.
The derivative of Social Services under the City of Murcia will not have to pay fees.
Campaign to raise awareness of the Family Respite Program
The Center for Reconciling Work and Family Life, through Conciliation Program, today began a campaign to raise awareness of the Family Respite Program.
The campaign called "A gift for them, a respite for you 'is to place Christmas trees in crowded places such as schools and the main squares of the city of Murcia can collect the voucher to get to know the center and be informed of all existing programs.
This voucher will be exchanged for an afternoon of free family respite from 7 January to 15 April.
