Professor of Social Work Faculty of the University of Murcia Juan Benito Martinez has been elected secretary of the Spanish Association for Peace Research (AIPAZ) in the assembly held in Santiago de Compostela.

Juan Benito Martinez is Secretary of that Department, where he teaches Peace Education and Citizenship.

AIPAZ was established in 1997 to discuss peace and conflict from a multidisciplinary perspective that includes the elimination of violence and promoting justice, respect for human rights and peaceful conflict resolution.

This organization is composed of associations, centers, institutes and people involved in the research and peace education in Spain.
