Workshop School Projects are joint programs and employment training which aims to provide employability pathways for the young unemployed under 25 years.
Workshop School 'Youth Access Center' is a project promoted by the city of Murcia and financed by it and the Employment and Training Service of the Murcia Region through the European Social Fund.
Began on December 22, 2008 and ends next week.
The project, lasting two years, is divided into 4 phases of 6 months each.
During the first phase (first 6 months) the students received theoretical training related to their specialty and from the second phase the students were hired by the promoter through a training contract, alternating formal training with professional experience in the field.
Students have received 2,160 hours of practical training.
60 students started the project, 45 reached the fourth DASE and 36 have finished.
The casualties of the students were mainly due to work reasons.
Of the students, 97% are men and 3% women.
In addition, 73% are Spanish and 27% foreign.
Student-workers have specialized in masonry, finish construction, carpentry, metal work, landscaping and facilities (plumbing / electricity), and have obtained the necessary qualifications to perform the duties of Office Assistant (in the masonry and construction workshop and facilities), and Chief Gardening Officer Second (locksmithing and carpentry workshop.)
The objective of the Workshop School is building a municipally owned solar located in Juan de Borbon, a building for youth center, fully accessible to people with disabilities, students have made the installation of services and the council has The foundation hired the center, whose works will start soon.
