Environmental care and street cleaning are the issues that this contest Clean Murcia, which this year 6,436 students participated from 91 schools.
The event, organized by the city of Murcia and lawns, is 16 editions and has since its inception in order to invite students to draw their ideas and suggestions about how, according to them, it is possible to get everybody to contribute to achieving a cleaner neighborhoods and districts and, therefore, better-looking.
The star of this edition were buried containers, which have helped improve the image of the municipality.

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, accompanied by Councilman street cleaning and waste collection, José Ros, and by the Delegate of Cespa, Antonio Igualada, delivered this morning the awards to 13 winners, whose work has been used to prepare calendar 2011.

The contest "Murcia Clean" ends the school year that has developed in the classroom through lectures, games and visits to the Centre of Urban Waste Management.
This measure is meant to raise awareness among children from 3 º to 6 º of primary school between 8 and 12 years on issues related to urban health, waste recycling and the environment.
