Agreement for the provision of healthcare in the prison in Murcia (17/12/2010)

The regional government has given approval for the renewal of the agreement signed with the Ministry of Interior, which the Community will receive 311,700 euros to continue providing health care to the 803 inmates of the prison in Murcia.

Thus, the Ministry of Health ensures the rights of all internal as well as access to health benefits equal addition to implementing preventive measures and care for this group.

This agreement guarantees a range of health services for inmates to receive pharmaceutical care, and complementary examinations, tests or be seen by the specialist, among others.

Also, the Ministry will facilitate the shift to the prison for medical specialists in Psychiatry, Internal Medicine and Gynecology.
