This course involved almost 700 students of thirty schools in the municipality
2.0 becomes the European program.
Given the success of the school year 2009/2010, the Department of European Programs, in collaboration don the Department of Education has decided to repeat this educational project.
In this course include a total of 692 students in grades 5 and Primary 6 thirty schools located in Murcia, Espinardo, Sangonera la Verde, La Ñora, Santiago and Zaraíche, Corvera and San Ginés.
2.0 The European program, which seeks to teach students the importance of the European Union, was released in April 2009 in a pilot with seven schools.
In the 2009/2010 academic year involved 17 schools, which added to the new call, makes a total of 1,901 students benefiting from this initiative.
I pursued this program, which aims in successive courses to reach the 158 schools in the municipality of Murcia, is to facilitate the understanding of the European Union, its countries, symbols and institutions, as well as aware of the role of citizens in united Europe know the major issues currently starring today.
The project consists of three parts:
1.
Work in the classroom with educational materials, specific to the teacher and the students with which others seek to achieve the following objectives:
- To acquire basic knowledge about the history and evolution of the European Union.
- Develop the ability to know and locate the member states of the European Union.
- Know the main governing bodies of the European Union.
- Discovering the existence of the European constitution and the importance of developing a single currency.
- Gain awareness of European citizens and to know the duties and rights under them.
2.
Reinforcement and expansion will be made about additional workshops in the classroom, two hours, allowing the acquisition of new skills in this theme through
dynamic viewing of videos with the involvement of school.
3.
At the same time the workshops will be held in the center panel exhibition on the evolution of creation of the European Union.
The initiative is a comprehensive teaching materials developed especially for schoolchildren in the municipality of Murcia, which includes key issues such as the origins of Europe, the formation of the European Union, the Euro, the European Parliament or the rights and freedoms promotes.
The treatment of this information is presented simply and graphically illustrated in the guidelines developed by educators, consisting of a teaching guide for teachers and a teaching guide for school-based activities to develop in class.
Parallel interactive workshops have been organized to be held in school grounds and the students, with specialized, will review the highlights playing European Union.

January: Our Lady of Consolation (Espinardo), San Andrés (Murcia) and Nicolás de las Peñas (Murcia).
February: Our Lady of step (Nora), Santa María de Gracia (Murcia) and Divine Master (Murcia)
March: Isabel Bellvis (Corvera).
