Students may participate in the municipality and members of youth organizations
Raise awareness among young people and provide tools to respond to situations of gender violence is the goal of the Department of Education and Youth, directed by María Dolores Sánchez.
Youth has organized the program "Cooperation against gender violence" aimed at schools and youth groups with training and informational sessions conducted by the Youth Legal and Psychosocial Assessment Informajoven.
In the talks will be discussed legal aspects, legal, regulatory and administrative actions of citizens in situations of domestic violence received, and develop social skills and group behavior in situations experienced in everyday settings of youth.

In addition the Council has organized the video contest "Youth against gender violence ', in order that students and youth associations to show their own vision of the possible situations of domestic violence while behaviors or alternative actions, cooperation and mutual support to avoid or overcome such violence.
The competition is open to all students enrolled in high school and vocational training in schools and / or members of youth associations in the municipality of Murcia has not attained the age of 25 in June 2011.
The contents of the videos may include both audiovisual presentations with photos, video and special editions.
The screenplay and treatment of audiovisual content are completely free.
The videos can be individual or collective authorship and should be made in the 2010-2011 school year.
The works received will participate in the voting of the users in a period between November 2010 and June 2011, and the calculation of the vote shall be regarded as the total number of views and the valuation given by the visitors (scores) in the Youtube platform.
After the transitional period, the most watched videos on Youtube and most valued receive a first prize of a € 500 FNAC card, second prize of € 300 FNAC card and third prize of € 100 FNAC card.

Youth With these two initiatives intended to sensitize young people about changes in attitudes and behavior necessary to address situations of domestic violence because of the 298 cases of domestic violence served by the Municipal Team Care Gender Violence Murcia City Council, from January to October 2010, 17 corresponded to children under 20 years, and 61 young people between 20 and 29 years.
Other objectives are to inform the youth group on legal and administrative resources at its disposal to be used, if necessary, to serious situations of gender violence training to young people in managing social skills enabling them to establish social relationships and non-violent rejection behaviors by strengthening the gender-based violence and support victims.
It also proposes new models of masculinity and femininity, based on gender equality, and work for young people to share the same vision and the experiences they observe in relation to situations of violence, and positive alternative proposals.
