The Editor of the University of Murcia (EDITUM) has reissued the book of Diego Sanchez Jara that collects campaign launched in December 1913 by the poet and writer Pedro Jara Carrillo got the creation of this educational institution and a half later.
The book, "How and why the university was born in Murcia," says Carrillo Jara article appeared in The Liberal and which launched a campaign, supported by political, media and various social sectors gained the approval of the decree which was created by the University of Murcia.
Among the politicians who turned to the process include former Minister Juan de la Cierva and his brother, Rep. Isidoro de la Cierva.
The work was presented at a ceremony held at the hall of degrees of the Faculty of Law, which was attended by the rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, the rector of Coordination and Communication, Maria Angeles Esteban, and Professor School of Communication and former president of the Association Press Murcia Lorca Felipe Julián Hernández.
