Murcia is the municipality with the largest number of sports facilities by number of inhabitants according to a report by the magazine "Consumer Eroski, which have compared the sports facilities of A Coruña, Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Cadiz, Cordoba, Granada, Madrid, Malaga, Murcia, Oviedo, Pamplona, San Sebastian, Seville, Valencia, Valladolid, Vitoria and Zaragoza.
The municipality has 425 sports facilities, among which are 32 sports pavilions, 47 football fields, 18 swimming pools and 21 pools of summer.
Murcia has risen in four years the provision of swimming pools, sports halls and football pitches.
