The University of Murcia close most of its facilities and services during the Christmas holidays, which will run from December 24 until January 6 as part of its plan of austerity, efficiency and sustainability, which was introduced last summer.
The rules, implemented by the Department for Economic and Infrastructure and Management, notes that despite the closure of public service provided by this institution is not affected when you apply a series of measures that will avoid it.
Thus, this public service provided through minimum common services that affect issues such as access control, general security, mechanisms of attention to possible incidents, recording documents and information office.
These measures include the merger of the role of the General Register of the University in the Merced campus, which will address the urgent issues related to the secretariats of the centers, the closing of General College Library, which lead to the usable space for study on the campus of Murcia Espinardo.
It also contains a recommendation to the university community that as far as possible bring their Christmas vacation these days of closing.
During the mentioned period, buildings or services that remain open will be the Lecture Hall of the Merced and the North Classroom Building Espinardo for areas designated for this study, the convalescence building, home of the Chancellor, to perform various steps, and buildings " Soler Rector "and" Rector Loustau, for the same purpose.
The closure will not affect services such as Animalario Espinardo, the Veterinary Hospital and the building of the Department of New Technologies of Information and Communications (ATIC).
These measures resulting from austerity plan was put in place in connection with last summer and led to savings of two hundred thousand euros.
