Murcia City Council continues to support the work of organizations like Ragpickers Emmaus, which is responsible for providing guidance and comprehensive support to people with special difficulties.

The Governing Board has approved this morning a grant of 60,000 euros for the Association of Emmaus Traperos to carry out a project of psychotherapeutic care and promoting volunteerism.

The objectives of this organization is empowering those most in need, manage the resources needed for basic social and health care, promote measures of social support and family mediation for those who need it, and also coordinate the educational Accompaniment with social skills training.

In addition, Emmaus Ragpickers offer individual therapy, group support, addictions social skills training, counseling and training workshops for job placement.
