The University of Murcia held with the Association for the Conservation of the Huerta de Murcia (HUERMUR) advisory activities, research and training for the defense of this agricultural area, according to the contents of the agreement signed by both bodies in the building Convalescence .
Agreement signed this relationship that had been ongoing between the University of Murcia and HUERMUR, and opens the way for the educational institution promote and disseminate the values of the garden, organize training courses about various aspects of this landscape and for students to engage in practices in programs of the Association.
HUERMUR President, José Antonio Moreno Micol, thanked the support he has always given the University, with the participation of academics in the Association's activities-and to be rendered following the signing of the agreement.
For its part, the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, which claimed its origins huertanos their particular sensitivity to this issue, praised the work of HUERMUR in defense of a heritage that, in his opinion, deserves to be preserved.
The signatories agreed on the importance of the garden as a sink for CO2, such as fertile land reserve as parkland for the enjoyment of citizens.
