The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, will meet tomorrow, day 23 in Madrid with the International Commission for the monitoring and evaluation of the "University Strategy 2015" that report on the model of the University of Murcia contribute to regional economic development, both at the Autonomous Community and in the area of the Mediterranean area through the Campus of Excellence "Mare Nostrum".
Invited by the Ministry of Education together with a select group of personalities and experts from the Spanish university system, the chancellor will make suggestions and recommendations for the development of the 3 rd mission of universities: the contribution to innovation, sharing knowledge with society, community engagement, interaction with civil society organizations, the contribution to the resolution of the demands and problems of society, involvement with social and economic development of the environment, etc.
The election of the Rector of the University of Murcia to inform the Commission on this model and strategy to contribute to regional development is a further endorsement of the excellence and relevance at the regional level following the recent University Campus selection 'Mare Nostrum 'as the Campus of International Excellence.
