María Jesús Martín Carbajo Concha Escobar and Martinez have been compiled in a book published by the editor of the University of Murcia (EDITUM) and the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, a total of 615 children's songs and prosodies representative of the entire twentieth century in the Region of Murcia.
The authors have collected the letters straight from people of different ages, carry an oral tradition that accompanies the world of children since time immemorial and in which the songs are inseparable from the games of children.
The book, probably the largest collection of existing children's traditional songs, the structure in chapters like lullabies, early years, sagging, running, elastic, entertainment and palms, among others.
The book also includes the text of each composition, the corresponding musical notes that can be read singing, which gives a sense peculiar and almost unique.
Some of the songs collected in the volume were sung at the book launch, held at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Murcia, for students in the degree of Master of Music Education Specialist.
The event was chaired by the rector of Coordination and Communication, Maria Angeles Esteban, and included speeches by the authors, among others.
