Murcia University will celebrate the centenary of the birth of Ramón Gaya, doctor honoris causa by this institution, with an exhibition of his work held in Mexico, Venice and Murcia itself, to be opened tomorrow, day 19 in the Casino and has been presented today to the media.
The curator, teacher and friend of the painter Francisco Flores Rill, has indicated that the sample, all of it from private collections and the university itself, consists of fifty works.
They collect various painting techniques and subjects of study, among which there are landscapes, still lifes, portraits and a series of religious paintings.
On the occasion of the exhibition is accompanied by a catalog with each and every one of the exhibits and the text of the Gaya, Flores and painter Arroyuelo Eloy Sánchez Rosillo.
I also have some biographical notes on the painter, writer and poet who spent the last years of his life somewhere between Valencia and Murcia.
The exhibition, organized by the University of Murcia, which will be inaugurated tomorrow at 19:30 hours, with the sponsorship of the Obra Social "la Caixa", Murcia and Real Casino Association of Registrars of Property.
