Councillor for IU in Murcia, Esther Herguedas has reported today that the council has failed to comply with pollution control included in the Local Climate Change Strategy 2008-2012, which recognizes the importance of information on air quality to facilitate the work protection of the atmosphere.
Herguedas noted that, according to this document, the municipality has a municipal system of pollution control equipped with two remote stations in the Segura River and Park Avenue Watchtowers, but assured that no information that are in place and that these collect data on air quality.
"Nor do we know that they are equipped with a technology approved by the network of counseling for Sustainable Development, or by the Environment Ministry," he stated, after adding that it has submitted a question to the head of the branch, Adela Martinez where you are concerned about the state of the stations and if there is a document of transfer thereof to the Community.
