María Moreno Sánchez, fifth year student of Chemical Engineering, University of Murcia, in competition with other universities around the world, has become the first university Murcia getting a stay to work in the transport section of the United Nations.
The possibility of this scholarship came about through the work Areas Engineering Mechanics and Heat Engines, University of Murcia have been carrying out in areas of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle Regulations, which Moreno Maria spent two years working.
The United Nations grants are a basic component of technical cooperation program of the Organization and are designed to meet the needs of Member States to increase knowledge and skills acquisition and training nationwide.
The main purpose of the scholarship is to enable the student to obtain training and skills to participate more actively in economic and social development of the Region of Murcia, and increase their ability to solve practical problems upon their return.
To get this stay has been supported by the Office of Research, who led the professor Juan María Vázquez, and the Seneca Foundation, run by Antonio González.
