A research professor at the School of Informatics, University of Murcia Jesualdo Breis Tomás Fernández has been awarded as the best original work presented at the International Conference on Knowledge Engineering, a prestigious international event held every two years.

The work done in collaboration with scientists from the University of Manchester, will allow biomedical researchers to better analyze the biological functions of genes and proteins.

Fernández Breis study highlighted in this year's Conference, held in Lisbon and reached a record participation of 166 works submitted.
