The University of Murcia and Cartagena Polytechnic will receive 6.5 million euros to develop "Innocampus Vitalis, an R + D + i for boosting innovation in the two main centers of excellence in the Region of Murcia, such as health and food and agriculture.
This project will involve the collection of 170 specialized researchers, building on the campus of Espinardo of a Joint Research Center in plant foods and Health and the development of a master.
It also provides for cooperation in R + D + i with ten market-leading companies, the mobility of researchers towards Mediterranean countries and the creation of technology-based companies.
Murcia universities get this funding under the call Innocampus 2010 the Ministry of Science and Innovation, which opted by its recent rating Campus of Excellence.
Vitalis Innocampus addition, others have been selected 26 projects to be shared 150 million euros.
