The book by Professor of Philosophy at the University of Murcia Emilio Martínez Navarro, "teachers' professional ethics," was presented by the rector of this institution, José Antonio Cobacho, in a ceremony held in the Chamber of Arts.
The book, published by Desclée de Bouwer, contains proposals for personal and group reflection about the relationships affected by the work teachers (teachers, students, parents, etc..) To conform to professional ethics referred the title.
The author argues for an ethic that helps to maintain the morale of teachers and that is not limited to the observation of general principles and practice of certain virtues based on the belief of everyone, especially this time of disorientation educational and ideological pluralism, multiculturalism in the classroom and global access to information.
The presentation also included comments and presentations by representatives of the various groups involved in education.
