About 44,100 infant and primary schools during the 2010/2011 academic year participating in the educational activities of 'The city also teaches' by the Department of Education and Youth, directed by María Dolores Sánchez.
These are activities aimed at schoolchildren in the municipality of Nursery, Primary, Secondary, Vocational High School and to develop additional activities to provide support to schools.
The City Council has participated this morning in a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts under the program "Know Your City 'for the second cycle of primary education.
This is a visit that seeks to make young to read, interpret and enjoy looking at works of art.
A museum guide takes visitors through some pictures to talk about painting techniques, composition, media, etc.
The explanation takes one hour.
At the end of the course, students play games to interact with each other, games puzzles to search for words related to the contents exposed and color masks with the faces of the main characters of the paintings.
In the museum's activities have involved, when you finish the course in June 2011, 928 schoolchildren.
In educational provision for schools in the municipality during the 2010/2011 academic year 44,100 students will participate, belonging to 1,961 groups, allocating at least one activity per school unit.
58 different activities will be conducted.
